Loving Hands Ministries is...

A Two-Year Christ-centered Residential Discipleship Program designed to rehabilitate men who have life controlling problems.

 

A Trans-denominational, not for profit 501(c)(3) organization which works in harmony with Pastors, Churches and other Rehabilitation Ministries. (Teen Challenge, Mission Teens, Youth Challenge and other ministries.)

 

Considered by the courts and legal community as an excellent alternative to a jail or prison sentence. After as application and thorough interview process, some residents are voluntary court ordered to complete the residential program.

 

One of the very few help programs that still require no money or fees.

 

Also an Outreach Ministry to the community and World.

History of Loving Hands

Loving Hands Ministries was founded in 1982 by Wendell and

Nancy Wilson as the result of a God-inspired vision to minister

the love of God to the lost and troubled youth of this generation. 

Loving Hands Ministries was chartered by the state of Florida in 1984. The first Regeneration Center opened in Bradenton, Florida that same year. Loving Hands established it’s second location in Dade City, Florida (Pasco County) in 1992. Then in 1993 Loving Hands Ministries vision extended into INDIA, where the ministry oversees Churches, a Bible College, a Training Center, a Christian School, and an Orphanage Loving Hands Ministries INDIA  www.LovingHandsIndia.org

Dr. Wendell C. & Nancy Wilson

Under the able leadership of the Wilson's, their dedicated Staff, Volunteers and Supporters, they have seen God’s Love and Grace change thousands of Lives and Destinies. 

Truly, “Love covers a multitude of sins.”  - I Peter 4:8.

The Wilson's, who wed in 1962 have four adult children, their ministry as Pastor of numerous Churches, Evangelism, Discipleship and Counseling began that same year. Wendell held his  Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees from International Theological Seminary.

 

He also held an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Loving Hands Theological Seminary, India. Other schools he attended include Southeastern University, University of South Florida and Luther Rice Seminary. He has spoken at Religious conventions, City-wide gatherings, Prisons, Jails and Youth camps. He served as President of the Manatee County Ministerial Association in 1992 and again in 2005. Wendell was honored as “Minister of the Year” in the Manatee/Sarasota Florida area. He is also listed as an honored member in the National Directory of Who’s Who among Executives and Professionals. He has served as past President of the Homeless Coalition, , the Board of Directors of Drug Free Communities and Manatee Religious Services in Bradenton, Florida.

Our Statement of Faith

  • The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God. II Timothy 3:16.

  • There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Namely, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; Jude 20,21

  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ,  His virgin birth, His sinless life,  His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection,  His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years. Matt. 16:16;  I Corinthians 15:3-5

  • In the blessed hope, which is the rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming. Titus 2:13; 1 John 3:1-3.

  • The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of  Jesus Christ. I Peter 1:18,19.

  • Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for personal salvation. John 3:3-5

  • The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of man’s spirit and body in answer to the prayer of faith. James 5:14-16

  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to every Believer. Acts 2:39

  • In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is empowered to live a holy life. Galatians 2:20; 5:16

  • In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the saved to everlasting life and the lost to everlasting damnation. John 5:28,29

  • In the great Commission: To make Disciples wherever we go. Matthew 28:19
