Hello, my name is Mitchell Greenspan. I am 33 years old. I was born in Los Angeles and raised in South Africa. I moved around a lot when I was growing up, and I felt like I didn’t fit in anywhere. When I was 15 I had my first taste of alcohol. To me it was like liquid courage. But what really it was a blanket to soften the blows of reality. It didn’t take long before I started using harder drugs. But the worst thing was the lifestyle that came along with it. Lying, manipulating, and stealing. Just over 2 years ago, I had reached a point in my life where I was homeless and desperate. My mom being an enabler in my life had been helping me on the side for a long time. She picked me up one day and decided to tell me she wanted nothing more to do with me. Where I was in my addiction, I thought it would be a good idea to rob my mom in broad daylight. She screamed and I ran. But the damage was done in our relationship. While in jail I put in for loving hands and they accepted me. Since I have been in the ministry my mother has given her life to Christ. My father is back in my life. And my sister who hadn’t spoken to in 10 years I now talk to on a regular basis. I also got my license for the first time in my life in September of this year. I see God moving so strongly in my life. He has given me a passion for ministry. I have now graduated the ministry, and the lord has called me to stay on as staff to pour into other men’s lives.
